The center contains reels, rotating wheels and idlers. In the opposing corners are various random mechanical assemblies: motors, flywheels, gears and spindles. Some of the shaded areas in the center structure were drawn with 6x0 Rapidograph pens. These were very troublesome to use and impossible to keep clean
