This commander is a discard payoff, and its a nice combo with Sadistic Hypnotist since you can sacrifice the elf tokens to make them discard more cards and make more elf tokens
If an effect allows a player to cast a meld card as a face-down spell, or if a meld card enters the battlefield face down, it will have the characteristics given to it by the rule or effect that caused it to be face down
Its flipside, Polukranos, Engine of Ruin, is a 6/6 with reach and lifelink thats reminiscent of Wurmcoil Engine, but better
However the majority of the MTG fanbase feels about the 30th Anniversary Edition, a few lone wolves are willing to splash the cash on them
